The MountainMoot is held at Carroll College in Helena, the state capitol of Montana. Though Helenans enjoy their hometown year round, there’s a particular magic about Helena in July. The average July high in Helena is 86 degrees, and the average low is 54. With barely an inch of precipitation on average and humidity rates averaging in the fifties, July is almost guaranteed to be sunny and mild – a perfect time to explore the Rockies that surround Helena. With over 15 hours of daylight each day in July, you’ll also have plenty of time to get out and enjoy it (if you can drag yourself away from Helena’s coffee houses, breweries, and art galleries).
If you have extra time in Montana, both Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park are only about 3.5 hours away. It’s the perfect starting place for a vacation!
Many people might be surprised to know that tourism is our biggest industry in Montana. Well, as it turns out, we were all too busy enjoying the state to get any other industry started, but we’ll be happy to show you around! Got a few minutes to watch some amazing videos of Montana? Check them out:
